Ganeden Biotech was established in 1997 and is the largest seller of over-the-counter probiotic bacteria in the United States. Ganeden Labs is the licensing and development division, which makes proprietary, patented, probiotic technology available for wide range use in innovative products. In June of 2009 Ganeden Labs entered into the animal feed market by launching a DFM product called GanPro that can be easily added to feed for livestock, swine and poultry. Some key benefits of GanPro are improved feed conversion and digestion. The bacteria in GanPro is accepted for use as a DFM by U.S. F.D.A Center for Veterinary Medicine.
